Earlier this week, TMZ reported that former WWE and AEW couple Miro and CJ Perry had renewed their wedding vows, having separated at the end of 2023. Yet, while this delighted fans, Dave Melter reported during Wrestling Observer Radio that “according to people who would know,” they never actually separated, and it was done as a work for a potential storyline and seemingly to get some media attention. Whether this is true is unclear, but if it is, it would undoubtedly be one of the most outlandish wrestling stories in recent years.
While Perry left AEW last year, Miro only departed the company last month when Tony Khan finally granted his release request after over a year sat on the sidelines. Therefore, with the pair publicly back together and both free agent, there has already been speculation they could return to WWE under their Lana and Rusev characters, although as both were previously let go by WWE, that door may be closed. Still, with TNA looking to grow and MLW having a bigger budget due to their $20 million settlement from WWE, there are other options for the duo.
