Sharon Osbourne has again provided reasons for why she and Ozzy are moving from Los Angeles back to the United Kingdom. Previously, Sharon said America changed a great deal since she and Ozzy originally moved to the U.S., and that their return to the U.K. had nothing to do with Ozzy’s recent surgery to realign pins in his neck and back.

“I knew people would think that,” she told the Observer. “It’s not. It’s just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.”

Ozzy added: “Everything’s f*cking ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f*cking crazy. And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f*cking Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

Prior to that, Ozzy said taxes played a role in the move.

“We are leaving L.A.,” Ozzy said, according to The Mirror. “We are a bit sad. But the tax is getting too much. I am sad because I really, really like staying and living there. If they do the taxes better, then I may come back. I will still be making music and my band will come over.”

Now most recently, Sharon told Consequence: “California is not what it once was.”

“When I first came here, I thought I was in heaven,” she said. “In the ’70s, if you loved music, this was the place to be. It’s not that hub anymore. It’s not exciting anymore. It hasn’t gone sideways, it’s gone down. It’s not a fun place to live. It’s dangerous here. Every big city’s got crime, but I don’t feel safe here. Neither does Ozzy.”

Sharon also told “Fox & Friends” that the move would also provide the Osbournes some privacy. “Yes, we don’t like the gun violence in Los Angeles,” she said. “But there’s a lot more room for Ozzy. He can go fishing on our land, he can go shooting — he loves to shoot — and it’s just a different lifestyle. He can walk around, do his thing, nobody there looking at him. And he can have some privacy.”
