Last week, Sharon Osbourne said during the TalkTV show that her husband Ozzy was set to undergo a “major operation” which will “determine the rest of his life.” TalkTV co-host Vanessa Feltz asked Sharon if she was traveling back to Los Angeles and said “I’m sorry to hear that Ozzy has a big operation coming up as well.” Sharon confirmed the major operation and said, “I have to be there and it’s really going to determine the rest of his life. My son is also going to have a daughter in about three weeks, and also it’s our 40th wedding anniversary and July 1.”

On Tuesday, Sharon provided an update on Ozzy saying: “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery! Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”

Page Six reported that a source close to the family said there will be a “lengthy amount of convalescence” after his surgery, and Ozzy will need a nurse at home. “Ozzy is 73 and any kind of surgery when you get older is difficult. This is quite major. He’s having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019. He’s been in a lot of pain.”

Last month, Ozzy told Classic Rock magazine that he was “waiting on some more surgery” on his neck. “I can’t walk properly these days,” he said. “I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.” Asked about mortality, Ozzy said: “At f*cking 73, I’ve done pretty well. I don’t plan on going anywhere, but my time’s going to come.”

Ozzy and Sharon’s daughter Kelly blasted a reporter who spoke about the couple’s marriage. The reporter mentioned that Ozzy had an affair but that he and Sharon had “worked it out.” Kelly took issue with the mention and went on social media to say: “Sorry but I just had to say something. My father and I watch KTLA News every morning together. To say that I am blown away by your comments on my parents marital status is an understatement. As you reported, he is about to undergo a life changing surgery on his back that will determine the rest of his life. The fact that everyone could not just wish him their best and instead made such cutting comments is shameful. Is it hard for you to just be nice? My weather report is that you are shady.” Kelly’s post appears to have since been deleted.
