Seth Rollins Comments On CM Punk Following His WWE Return

CM Punk captured the headlines when he made his WWE return at Saturday night’s Survivor Series, although Seth Rollins’ furious reaction at ringside also caught fans’ attention after going viral. Fightful Select later reported that Rollins had to be ushered away by Triple H and Michael Cole when he tried to confront Punk backstage. However, it has been confirmed that Rollins’ actions were all a work, and the pair are set to feud soon.

And now, during WWE’s Sunday night house show at the Peoria Civic Center in Illinois, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has commented on Punk’s return, setting in motion the storyline.

“I’m not going to waste any more breath on anyone who has been gone for eight years, has done nothing but try to tear this place down. I want to use my breath to talk about the people who worked to make WWE the hottest ticket in town.”

Punk has been announced as appearing on this week’s episode of Raw, which is taking place in Nashville, so the duo will possibly come face to face ahead of a match at the Royal Rumble in January. Still, WWE may also want to hold off such a big marquee match until WrestleMania, with it more than capable of headlining one of the two nights.
