Scott Steiner Explains Being Inducted Into The WWE Hall Of Fame Despite Previously Calling It A “F*cking Joke”

Just two years ago, Scott Steiner would refer to WWE’s Hall of Fame as a “f*cking joke” while appearing on Dave Panzer’s Sitting Ringside podcast. He’d also say it only exists in Vince McMahon’s mind and, for good measure, buried Triple H by calling him a “mark” and “legitimate pussy.” Therefore when rumors began circulating that WWE was considering him and his brother Rick for induction this year, it seemed absurd even to think he’d consider it. However, as we all know, he would accept the invitation, and while talking to DetroitNews.com, he has revealed that he agreed to be inducted because he has matured.

You’ve gotta let it go, you can’t harbor all the bad feelings. You’ve gotta grow up.

Steiner returned to WWE in 2002, having been away from the company for eight years, and this is where his animosity towards the company and Triple H began. The pair would feud over the World Heavyweight Championship, but while the first match was highly anticipated, it failed to live up to expectations. Steiner subsequently quickly fell down the card and was released just two years into his three-year deal while recovering from injury. Now though, with his nephew Bron Breakker being positioned as a star for the future, the former WCW has seemingly let go of his past grudges and received a Hall of Fame payoff in the process.
