Sasha Banks’ Latest Social Media Change Suggests She Might Not Be Returning To WWE

WWE suspended both Sasha Banks and Naomi after they walked out on the promotion due to being unhappy with their creative for the May 15th episode of Raw. And while there is likely much more to the situation than just feeling their tag team was underutilized, as neither has publicly commented on this yet, many questions remain unanswered. It’s even been claimed that Banks had requested and been granted her release. Although once Vince McMahon retired, it was soon reported that Triple H had smoothed things over with both women, making it appear they’d soon return.

Nevertheless, it has been two months since the last meaningful news, and so far, many fans are skeptical about whether either will be seen in a WWE ring anytime soon. Especially as they have both been working on other high-profile ventures. And now possibly indicating that Banks isn’t planning on coming back is the fact her Twitter handle has been changed from @SashaBanksWWE to @MercedesVarnado.

If Banks was planning on returning to WWE in the coming weeks, it seems odd to change her handle now. However, it’s possible she made the application some time ago, with it only now being processed due to the Twitter verification process. Yet, until something concrete is confirmed, fans and wrestling journalists will continue to speculate and seek clues regarding her future career plans.
