In news that she herself notes is ironic, Saraya has confirmed she has undergone oral surgery to remove her wisdom teeth after just facing Dr. Britt Baker in a match at Full Gear. Seemingly revealing why she has been absent from AEW television since her comeback match. However, she is set to appear on Friday night’s Rampage for a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette.
Saraya’s comeback match was somewhat disappointing to fans who remember her days as Paige in WWE. Although she has stated, she was dealing with ring rust, having not competed since 2017. And in an ideal world, she would have worked several house show matches before a pay-per-view bout. That, though, wasn’t possible, and as positive, her performances can only improve as she gets more ring time. Ultimately though, most fans are just happy to see her wrestling again, even if she isn’t quite up to the standard required quite yet.
