Samoa Joe went from commentating at WrestleMania to being released just days later. However, he was re-hired at the behest of Triple H, put into an angle with Karrion Kross, won the NXT Championship, abruptly vacated the title, and has now been re-released. However, Joe seemingly hasn’t taken the news too badly and has stated on Twitter that he is excited about the future.
While the news of his WWE departure broke on Thursday, it’s understood that Joe was informed on Wednesday, which is also when other talents and backstage workers were cut in the previous reports. Exactly what the future holds for Joe remains to be seen as questions surrounding his injury status remain. Hopefully, though, he will be able to resume his in-ring career in a promotion that values his abilities.
