It was known ahead of Double Or Nothing in May that Jamie Hayter was pretty banged up. However, she would bravely fight on and dropped the AEW Women’s Championship to Toni Storm at the event in a short match. Since then, fans have been wondering when she would return to the ring, especially with All In taking place in her home country of England. And now Dave Meltzer, in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, has provided a rough estimate of next February, which, even if it is out slightly, means she will miss at least the remainder of the year.
“The current estimated return time for Jamie Hayter is February, due to various injuries, although that’s at best a rough estimate,”
Dave MeltzerHayter, real name Paige Wooding made her AEW debut in 2019, having made her name in Stardom. However, it wasn’t until 2021 that she was signed by Tony Khan to become a full-time member of his roster aligned with Dr. Britt Baker and Rebel. And while she was initially seen as a lackey for Baker, she would eventually become her peer and match her by winning the AEW Women’s Championship.
