Ronda Rousey’s upcoming memoir extensively covers her WWE career, and in this, she doesn’t hold back, openly communicating her disdain for multiple members of management she encountered. Among them is Bruce Prichard, whom she previously called “Vince’s avatar” on social media platform X. And now, in an excerpt of her book leaked early online, her very unfavorable opinion of him would be fully revealed, with the former UFC star this time calling him a “Vince McMahon crony.”
“Bruce Prichard was another Vince McMahon crony. If “What did you say you do here?” was a person, it would be him. No one knew what exactly his job was or how he got it. He was the type of guy who carries a briefcase just so it looks like he’s doing something, yet somehow, he’d wormed his way up to executive producer, handpicked by Vince because he knew Bruce was the kind of guy you could control from a distance through an earpiece.”
Ronda Rousey61-year-old Prichard has worked closely with McMahon dating back to the 1980s. However, he has twice departed the company, once in 1991 due to personal issues and again when he was fired by Stephanie McMahon in 2008 after bringing a firearm to work. Nevertheless, after spells with TNA and MLW, he returned to WWE again in early 2019 to join the creative team and, in the process, resumed being one of the most powerful men in the whole wrestling business. Yet, with McMahon no longer with the company, many believe it’s just a matter of time before Prichard follows him out the door.
