Rob Van Dam had two memorable runs in WWE, yet he has only worked for the company sporadically since 2014. Still, the fact that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 clearly shows some in management like him. However, during an episode of Marty Jannetty’s podcast, he has revealed that he never speaks to Triple H, who now heads up talent relations, and assumes that is why he isn’t working there at present.
“I never really talk to Hunter. If I had that relationship with him where we talked, then maybe I would be there. I’m assuming that’s a big reason why I’m not there. Everyone can see I’m still in f*cking better shape than ever. I can work with a motherf*cker. If you ask me why I’m not there, I’d probably say relationships with the office, but I don’t know.”
Rob Van DamDue to his popularity in the city, Van Dam was supposed to be involved in WWE’s WrestleMania 40 activities in Philadelphia next year. Nevertheless, WWE subsequently unbooked him after he began wrestling for AEW, despite asking for approval beforehand. Instead, the ECW original will now be appearing at WrestleCon, although there has been some speculation that if bridges can be rebuilt with WWE in time, he may yet appear at WrestleMania 40 events in some capacity.
