To demonstrate how fast things can change nowadays, less than 24 hours after Ric Flair announced he was contemplating suing Gainesville-based Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza for kicking him out, he has now stated during an interview with The MJ Morning Show that he was “wrong for getting mad.” Based on various reports and statements, Flair had been involved in a dispute with an employee who taking too long in the bathroom when the 16-time world champion desperately needed to go, and things quickly went bad.
“It just escalated, and I was wrong for getting mad, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position… I was wrong for getting upset. I probably just should have just walked out the door, but it caught me so off-guard because we were having a wonderful time. Then, all of a sudden, someone in their kitchen said I did something wrong in the bathroom, and there’s no one there except me and him.”
Ric FlairWhile CCTV footage (available to watch below) subsequently leaked, appearing to show Flair intoxicated, the 75-year-old rejected this claim during the interview, saying he’d only had two drinks. Additionally, he disclosed that after being booted, he ordered food from the establishment via Uber Eats, which is certainly a strong endorsement of the quality of their food.
75-year-old Flair is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, having joined the promotion to participate in the final months of Sting’s in-ring career. And while there are always questions regarding his health, he would memorably be Super Kicked by The Young Bucks at March’s Revolution pay-per-view. Additionally, it’s understood that his contract with AEW is related to his promotion of a mushroom-infused energy drink called Wooooo Energy, which pays most, if not all, of his salary.
