Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE had been unhappy with Ric Flair’s Hall of Fame speech for The Great Muta. And while no specific complaint was given, it has come out that he didn’t follow the autocue in addition to mentioning AEW’s Sting.
The biggest complaint, though, came from fans who said the 16x World Champion made the induction speech more about himself than Muta. And Falir has now addressed this during his podcast, claiming that 99% of the fans in attendance wouldn’t have known who Muta was. Therefore seemingly justifying why he spoke about himself so much.
I don’t know what they didn’t like about it. You have to remember that 99% of the people in attendance in that building don’t even know who Muta is. Does it make sense? They haven’t performed, well the wrestling people do, but I’m saying the audience.
