Last night the five leading members of RETRIBUTION opened Raw and had news looks somewhat resembling Bane, Predator, Jason Voorhees, and Hannibal Lecter. During this opening, Tom Phillips on commentary announced the group has been officially signed to the red brand. This was mocked on social media as hiring a group hellbent on destroying them made zero sense from WWE’s perceptive.
We would later find out the male member of the group will be going by the names Mace, T-Bar, and Slapjack, who are Dio Maddin, Donovan Dijakovic, and Shane Thorne, respectively. It’s assumed Mia Yim and Mercedes Martinez will also acquire new monikers, but they have not yet been revealed.
The male trio would main event the show losing by DQ to against Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. The secondary RETRIBUTION members attacked The Hurt Business following the match, but much of the roster, including Drew McIntyre, came to make the save. The show ended with Randy Orton appearing and hitting McIntyre with an RKO.
