The Stadium Tour isn’t the only high profile rock tour on tap for next summer. REO Speedwagon and Styx along with Loverboy will bring their “Live & UnZoomed” tour to 35 venues across America. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 at livenation.com.
“I can’t think of a better way of touring the USA next year than with good friends we’ve known for years and performed with on many a stage,” said Tommy Shaw of Styx in a statement. “What a great night of music this will be.”
REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin said he’s looking forward to in-person concerts.
“Tommy (Shaw) and I have done a number of Zoom performances together during the pandemic, and REO and Styx are ready to go get UnZoomed, and out on the road for our fifth U.S. tour together,” he said in a statement. “Add our great friends Mike Reno and the Loverboy guys, and I am totally psyched.”
Loverboy’s Reno said, “We can’t wait to take the stage and rock this summer, it’s gonna be awesome. These are all the groups I grew up with, and I’m there too. Best tour of the summer … guaranteed.”
REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million records and charted 13 Top 40 hits including No. 1’s “Keep On Loving You” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”
Styx has also had immense success across four decades with rock tunes and ballads alike including “Babe,” “Lady,” “Too Much Time On My Hands” and “Come Sail Away,” among others.
Loverboy’s hit singles “Working for the Weekend,” “Turn Me Loose” and “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” have also become classic rock staples.
REO Speedwagon and Styx will alternate the headlining slot throughout the tour.
