Released AEW Talent Is Contemplating Retirement

Of all the wrestlers AEW released on Monday, arguably the most shocking was Anthony Henry due to the fact he had been featured on television and is currently recovering from a broken jaw. However, AEW’s policy of only releasing talent early from their contracts for disciplinary reasons is no more, so the 40-year-old finds himself unemployed. And now Henry has taken to social media platform X to acknowledge his firing and reveal that he is, unfortunately, contemplating quitting the business.

Henry began wrestling in 2002 and spent many years on the indies before achieving his dream of signing with WWE in 2021. He would go on to debut for the company under the new ring name of Asher Hale on NXT before becoming used on 205 Live. Yet he ended up released later that same year, but he quickly rebounded by joining AEW, where he was impressed in his debut against  Eddie Kingston.
