Rebel Comments On Twitter Accounts That Mock Wrestlers For Botches

Any wrestler that has spent any amount of time in the ring will have made a mistake, commonly referred to as a botch. And while these were considered amusing bloopers in the past, in recent years, a new breed of fan has developed who enjoys drawing attention to these. Additionally, most of these so-called fans don’t seem to want to entertain but mock and ridicule the talents who risk serious harm on live television for their entertainment.

And after one fan remarked that they wished Rebel wrestled more, implying it would result in more content for the botch accounts, the AEW talent has fired back. Noting how these accounts knowingly spread negativity that affects the wrestlers themselves, and they should be ashamed.

It’s very easy to forget that wrestlers are real people who mostly manage their own social media accounts and see the mean-spirited comments and videos targeted toward them. Although whether the people behind these accounts care is doubtful, as their only goal seems to be getting the attention of the likes of Dutch Mantell and Jim Cornette, who cr*p all over modern-day wrestling and happily retweet this content to their followers. Maybe though, tweets like this from Rebel will begin to open their eyes, and they’ll focus on something more productive, as often the mostly anonymous people behind these accounts do show creativity.
