Puddle Of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin has a lengthy history of run-ins with law enforcement. He’s been arrested in the past for trying to board a plane with a BB gun, cocaine possession, driving under the influence, for taking a joyride on a baggage carousel, disorderly conduct, and leading police on a high speed chase, among other things.
Now according to TMZ, the troubled singer has been arrested again after allegedly getting into a physical confrontation with his girlfriend.
TMZ reports: “Police were called to a Torrance, California apartment around 3:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11. After talking to Wes and his girlfriend, officers determined the couple got into a verbal argument that allegedly turned physical. Additionally, the 52-year-old musician was found in possession of a small amount of a controlled substance.”
Scantlin has been charged with felony domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance. He was still in jail as of Saturday morning with his bail set at $90K.
Earlier this month, Scantlin said he was “roofied” by an ex-bandmate before what turned out to be a bad show a Daytona Bike Week. Scantlin is fairly notorious for ending Puddle Of Mudd shows early for various reasons including once where he accused a fan of stealing his house. He previously said he got sober in 2017, but his consistent run-ins with the law might suggest otherwise.
