Previously Released WWE Talent Backstage At SmackDown & Expected To Wrestle

In recent months, Triple H has brought back multiple talents previously released due to budget cuts. Yet, it now appears someone who has been away from the company for one day short of five years ago could be getting another opportunity. With PWInsider.com reporting Tennille Dashwood, who wrestled as Emma for the company, is backstage at SmackDown and expected to be wrestling Ronda Rousey as part of her open challenge. However, it should be noted there is no indication she has signed a deal, so this could just be WWE needing someone for Rousey to squash.

Former WWE star Teniille Dashwood aka Emma during her time with WWE is at tonight’s Smackdown taping in St. Louis, Missouri. She is expected to return tonight as the person responding to Ronda Rousey’s open challenge.

Dashwood signed with WWE in 2011, and in August 2012, she debuted under the name Emma. And while she was a regular on television over the next five years, for many fans, she is best remembered for being released by the comaony for a few hours in 2014 after accidentally forgetting to pay for an iPad case at Walmart self-checkout machine. Nevertheless, due to fan backlash, she was re-hired, with WWE being accused of making a knee-jerk reaction. She would, though, depart the company in three years later and has since worked for Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling, leaving the latter company in July.
