Last week Fightful Select reported that following 15 months away from the company, Braun Strowman’s name had been discussed regarding a potential return. And subsequently, further reports confirmed he was scheduled to be at this week’s Raw. However, it wasn’t known if he was simply going to be backstage or if he would appear on camera. Now though, it seems he will be featured on television, as according to another Fightful Select update, there are plans for a car to be flipped over during the show, which would certainly play into Strowman’s past strongman efforts on the show.
There is set to be an angle that features a car turned over on the show. While not confirmed, this is in line with a lot of the programs Braun Strowman was featured in the past.
Fightful SelectStrowman’s WWE release came as a huge shock at the time, with it speculated Vince McMahon no longer saw his $1.2 million a year contract worthwhile, especially as he had Omos, who was taller. And Since then, Strowman has kept a low profile, only occasional wrestling for indie promoters that could afford his reported $20,000 asking price. He did, though, partner with EC3 to promote Control Your Narrative, a Fight Club-inspired promotion which has been running shows in front of relatively small crowds. And in hindsight, with CYN talent invading Billy Corgan’s NWA show last weekend without Strowman, it should have signaled that something was up.
