Four months ago, AJ Styles suffered a broken ankle on a house show after landing badly going over the top rope. Thankfully surgery wasn’t required, but he has been sidelined ever since. Now though, it’s been reported by PWInsiderElite.com that he is in town ahead of tonight’s SmackDown draft. Of course, this doesn’t mean he will be returning to television, but it seems doubtful that WWE would fly him in unless required.
Styles had been quite fortunate with injuries since signing with WWE. His last injury being to his shoulder coming from taking a spear at the 2020 Royal Rumble match with Edge. He would, though, recover in time for the following months, Super ShowDown 2020, which saw the setup for his WrestleMania match with The Undertaker commence. Which ended up being praised as one of the best cinematic matches ever.
