Potential Plan For LA Knight On WWE’s Main Roster Reported

Three months ago, LA Knight wrestled Roderick Strong in a dark match before SmackDown, and since then, fans have been awaiting news on whether he will call up to the main roster. Now, though, it appears his call-up is imminent. Although according to a report by Fightful Select, an idea pitched is for him to become a manager on the main roster performer in the near future.

Over the years, Knight’s mic work has always been considered better than his wrestling ability, so this is likely why the idea has been proposed. And while managers had been phased out of WWE over the years, the success of MVP alongside Bobby Lashley has likely opened up a lot of eyes. Of course, the big question will be whether Knight is happy to do this, as he may feel he belongs in the ring. However, considering he is 39 years old, this is probably his last chance to make big money working for WWE as a performer.

For fans unfamiliar with Knight, he was previously known as Eli Drake and had runs in Impact Wrestling, where he held their world championship in 2017. Before that, he had been signed to WWE between 2013 and 2014 but left due to clashing with then-head coach Bill Demott. He’d go on to return in 2021 as Part of NXT due to Triple H being a fan of his work, and he’d have a memorable feud with Cameron Grimes over the Million Dollar Title.
