On Saturday night, A Matter Of Pride Wrestling took to X and announced they’d been unable to contact Melina, who lives in Los Angeles since the wildfires started. Therefore, with at least 16 people known to have died during the tragedy, fans of the former WWE star were worried and fearing the worst. However, in some much-needed positive news, the wrestling promotion that has booked Melina multiple times between 2018 and 2022 has now confirmed that she has made contact and is safe.
45-year-old Melina was a massive star in WWE between 2004 and 2011, building up a huge fanbase in the process, making it appear like she was destined for their Hall of Fame. Yet, the former beauty pageant contestant would end up being released due to creative not having anything for her, although it was rumored at the time she had backstage heat. And while this pretty much ended her career in the mainstream, she did work for both TNA and Billy Corgan’s NWA before quietly retiring from the ring.
