Recently, online posts began circulating concerning the health of Pantera frontman Philip Anselmo. Rumors were that the singer was battling blood cancer, and Anselmo took to his social media to respond.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Philip H. Anselmo here,” he said in a video statement. “There’s an A.I. page that is going bananas about me, and it’s putting out bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t. I’m healthy as a horse. There’s incredible stuff going on. Mixing the new Down. King Parrot is coming into town. Performing the new En Minor in the studio, trying to get that finished. There’s a zillion things going on. Anyway, I hope everybody else is healthy, as we are over here. Much love to you, and thank you everyone who wished me a speedy recovery and all that. Come on. Damn A.I. sh*t.”
A.I. posts are becoming increasingly more frequent across all social media platforms, and many legislators have already called for restrictions and/or guidelines concerning its availability and use.
Pantera has a handful of shows booked for 2026 opening for Metallica in Europe They will also appear at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky in September.
