Metal icons Black Sabbath and their frontman Ozzy Osbourne are gearing up for their “Back To The Beginning” farewell show set for July 5 in Birmingham, England. Ozzy hasn’t played a full show since late 2018, and he has unfortunately been plagued with several health issues since including being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

On the latest episode of SiriusXM’s “Ozzy Speaks,” Ozzy provided an update on where his health is at a little more than a month out from the concert.

“I haven’t done any physical work for the last seven, six and a half, seven years,” he said, adding that “by hook or by crook, I’m gonna make it,” to the stage at Villa Park. “I’ve got this trainer guy who helps people get back to normal,” he said. “It’s hard going, but he’s convinced that he can pull it off for me. I’m giving it everything I’ve got.”

Ozzy was asked by his co-host Billy Morrison if he is “waking up thinking about it, stressing about it.” Ozzy replied: “Sometimes, but what I do, if I start obsessing all the time, I’ll be insane by Friday, you know? So, I’m just taking it one day at a time and when I do it one day at a time. You know, when we were talking about this (OCD), whatever. I have that badly. All I can say is I’m giving 120%. If my God wants me to do the show, I’ll do it.”

The concert will feature performances and appearances by several hard rock and heavy metal legends including Metallica, Slayer, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Pantera and Anthrax, among many others.
