Ozzy Osbourne has had a rough go of things on the health front in recent years. “The Prince Of Darkness” hopes to return to the stage sometime later this year, but has previously admitted that overcoming his health challenges has proven to be a tall task.

He told Rolling Stone that his most recent back surgery went “drastically wrong and virtually left me crippled. It really knocked me about,” Ozzy said. “I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third (back surgery), but with the last one they put a f*cking rod in my spine. They found a tumour in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too. It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all f*cked up.”

Ozzy again addressed his health on the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, and he revealed that he’s done having surgeries.

“I’m not seeing so many doctors anymore,” he said. “Now I’ve got Parkinson’s, I have to see the Parkinson’s doctor. But I’m not having surgery.” Ozzy reflected on his surgery from September of last year and said: “When I came out of surgery, I said to Sharon, ‘Whatever I’m gonna be at right now, that’s it. I can’t have any more surgery.’ I had seven surgeries in five years.”

“It’s a slow recovery,” he continued. “I’m not as young as I used to be, so the recovery from anything takes longer than it did before. “I’m gonna try my hardest to get well enough to do a few gigs.”

Ozzy also previously said that he’s ruled out performing sitting down. “I’m not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy. What’s the f*cking point in that? I’m not going up there in a f*cking wheelchair. I’ve seen Phil Collins perform recently, and he’s got virtually the same problems as me. He gets up there in a wheelchair. But I couldn’t do that.”
