Original Nexus Member Makes Ring Of Honor Debut

Following Saturday night’s Collision live show, AEW taped matches for Ring of Honor. And while many of the usual names from the brand would compete, one name that did stand out from the rest was Fred Rosser, who was making his debut for the promotion. Rosser, best known for his time in WWE as Darren Young, would wrestle Scorpio Sky in a competitive match, and given his experience in the business, it will now be interesting to find out if this was a one-off or if he is set to become a regular ROH competitor.

39-year-old Rosser found fame in WWE as part of The Nexus, a group of NXT rookies hellbent on destroying the company. However, the angle, which started out incredibly hot, would famously fail to live up to expectations due to the group not being booked strong enough against John Cena.

Subsequently, Rosser would form The Prime Time Players alongside Titus O’Neil, capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships during their time together. Ultimately, though, WWE would release him in October 2017 after he had missed nine months through injury. Nevertheless, since then, he has rebuilt his career via the independent circuit and become a regular for NJPW Strong.
