Nyla Rose Thanks Tony Khan For His Support Following Her Ban From Wrestling In Oklahoma

It was recently discovered that in January, the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission held a meeting in which they voted to warn AEW after transgender wrestler Nyla Rose wrestled in the state on a ROH show. This is because the commission has a rule that states intergender wrestling isn’t permitted, and with Rose competing in the women’s division, she is technically banned.

However, when asked about this during Dynasty’s media call, AEW’s head honcho Tony Khan said he “was disappointed by the commission’s position.” Additionally, he stated that “AEW stands by Nyla Rose and all transgender people in wrestling.” Subsequently, this has seen Rose take to X to thank her boss for his support.

At present, neither AEW nor ROH has any shows announced for Oklahoma, and it will now be fascinating to see if Khan’s promotions skip running shows in the state from now on. However, Khan could decide to poke the bear and purposely run a future event there with Rose prominently featured, which is what some fans on social media are suggesting he does to fight the ban.
