NOAH Deletes Great Muta’s Homophobic Comments About Shinsuke Nakamura

January 1st kicked off with NOAH’s 1st pay-per-view of the year, which The Great Muta vs. Shinsuke Nakamura headlined. And while the match itself was fantastic and featured a unique finish of Nakamura sucking the green mist out of Muta’s mouth to use himself. However, the big talking point afterward has been the post-match comments made by Muta. That is because he would say regarding Shinsuke and his method of defeat, “maybe he’s q****,” and “he’s f***** maybe.

Subsequently, NOAH has deleted the tweet showing the comments, as well as the YouTube video upload. Nevertheless, fans continue to criticize both the promotion for leaving up for some long, as well as Muta for his homophobic remarks. And it should be noted that neither party has made an apology as of writing.

While this match was a massive deal for multiple reasons, it isn’t the last match of Mutoh’s illustrious career under his Great Muta gimmick. As that is set to take place on January 22nd at The Great Muta Final Bye-Bye event in Yokohama, where he will team with AEW’s Sting and Darby Allin against yet-to-be-confirmed opponents.
