Nia Jax was released by WWE in November 2021 while on a mental health break from the company and, at one point, vowed to quit the business. However, to the delight of some and the groans of others, she would return at the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant. Things though had gone quiet since then, but now PWInsider.com is reporting they’ve heard that her name is being mentioned again within the company regarding a possible return.
“There were some rumblings over the last few days of a potential Nia Jax return within the company. We have not heard she is at Raw but at least a few different sources noted they had heard her name being mentioned of late.”
PWInsider.com39-year-old Jax signed with WWE in early 2014 and trained at the WWE Performance Center before making her in-ring debut in 2015 on an NXT house show. By mid-2016, she would be drafted to Raw and became a prominent part of the women’s division holding the Raw Women’s Championship on one occasion. Her final WWE appearance as a contracted talent would come on the September 20, 2021, episode of Raw, when Shayna Baszler, who she’d twice held the Women’s Tag Team Championship, attacked her after their match and broke her arm in kayfabe and thus writing her off television.
