Nash Carter Addresses Hitler Photo In Twitter Statement

WWE fired Nash Carter on April 6th after his estranged wife Kimber Lee tweeted out a photo of him imitating Adolf Hitler after her initial abuse allegations failed to get the reaction from the company she had hoped. Since then, Carter hadn’t commented publicly on the circumstances of his release, however that has now changed, as on Monday evening, under his old ring name Zachary Wentz he would finally acknowledge the dreadful photograph. He did this via a Twitter statement where he says he is ashamed and that when the photo was taken in 2015, he was ignorant of the significance of Hitler’s actions during World War 2.

The better late than never apology comes just days before the former NXT tag team champion makes his first post-WWE appearance on Circle 6’s upcoming indie show in Orlando, Florida. And while some fans of the promotion are pleased to see him being brought in, others have called it disappointing and won’t be attending. Nevertheless, Circle 6 likely went into this prepared for the backlash, feeling his name recognition and in-ring ability was worth the potential loss of some fans. Yet, it remains to be seen whether his career will be able to recover from the controversy, although this tweet is likely to assist in restoring his reputation.
