WWE suspended both Naomi and Sasha Banks after they walked out due to being unhappy with their creative during the May 15th episode of Raw. And while Banks has since gone on to work for New Japan, Naomi has mainly stayed out of the spotlight. Now though, following the announcement she will be appearing at WrestleCon, she has replied to a fan on Instagram confirming she is no longer with WWE.
Naomi had been with WWE for over a decade after signing a WWE developmental contract in 2009 and became part of Florida Championship Wrestling before it became known as NXT. Her main roster call-up would come as part of The Funkadactyls alongside Brodus Clay. Nevertheless, she would far surpass him in terms of fame and in-ring recognition over the years and held the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship twice.
