Multiple Trademark Applications Possibly Reveal Sasha Banks’ Future Ring Name

With trademarks being such a huge part of pro wrestling nowadays, it’s always helpful to keep an eye on the latest applications filed to spot upcoming news. And it has now been noted by PWInsider.com that a company called Soulnado, which is somewhat similar sounding to Sasha Banks’ real Mercedes Varnado, applied on November 10th for trademarks on “Mercedes Mone’,” “Mone’ Talks,” “Bank Mone‘” and “Statement Maker.” And while not confirmed these are for Banks, it surely can’t be a coincidence. Especially considering these were filed under several classes, including pro wrestling, with the legal representative being Michael Dockins, who has appeared on Talk Is Jericho previously.

WWE suspended Sasha Banks and Naomi after they walked out on the promotion due to being unhappy with their creative for the May 15th episode of Raw. And while there is likely more to the situation than just feeling their tag team was underutilized, as neither has publicly commented on this yet, many questions remain unanswered. Although once Vince McMahon retired, it was soon claimed that Triple H had smoothed things over with both women, making it appear they’d soon return.

That doesn’t appear to be the case in at least Bank’s case, and she recently said on her Instagram that she is going to make the most of November, adding, “there’s going to be something so f*cking crazy coming. ” Therefore, she will likely return to the business in December, possibly when her non-compete expires, if the rumors are true and she was granted her release.
