MSG’s Social Media Team May Have Spoiled Clash At The Castle Outcome

On June 15th, WWE will be holding its second Clash At The Castle premium live event, which will be taking place in Scotland this time. And while the show is only a few weeks away, so far, only one match has officially been announced, with Damian Priest defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, with most fans expecting the Scotsman to become a world champion again.

However, doubt has now been cast over this outcome, as the official X account for Madison Square Garden has announced that Priest will be defending the belt against Jey Uso on the June 28th episode of SmackDown, seemingly confirming that Priest will be leaving the UK still as champion.

If McIntrye fails to become champion at Clash At The Castle, it will be the second time he has come up short in front of his own fans, as he lost to Roman Reigns in 2022 when the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was on the line at the same event. This was a very controversial booking decision at the time because it left many of those in attendance disappointed. Yet WWE’s main focus was building up Reigns as the company’s top star, with a lengthy title run becoming an essential part of his overall presentation.
