MJF Takes To Twitter To Defend Zachary Wentz Following Last Year’s Hitler Photo Shame

WWE fired Zachary Wentz, then known as Nash Carter, on April 6th, 2022, after his estranged wife, Kimber Lee, tweeted out a photo of him imitating Adolf Hitler after her initial abuse allegations failed to get a reaction from the company. Subsequently, Wentz would take to social Twitter himself and acknowledge the photo, claiming it was taken in 2015 when he was 21 and ignorant of the significance. Seemingly indicating he was not fully aware of Hitler’s actions during World War 2. However, despite these words, fans continued to criticize Carter.

And now, ten months on and with the condemnation mainly in the past, MJF has come to his friend’s defense, with the Jewish wrestler noting that Wentz is not an anti-Semite. Additionally, adding that when his car was vandalized and he was called a slur, Wentz was there to comfort and support him.

Since his WWE release, Wentz has continued to wrestle and has been a regular on the independent circuit most weekends. And with there having been minimal backlash to these appearances, it will be interesting to see whether WWE would consider re-hiring him, especially with his longtime MSK tag partner Wes Lee still on the NXT roster. As while what Wentz did was wrong and foolish, the company may feel he has served his punishment.
