MJF Comments On Grayson Waller Being Compared To Him

Ever since debuting, MJF has faced accusations of mimicking other talents, with The Miz and EC3 most often cited due to them all playing obnoxious characters. However, with MJF becoming one of the biggest stars in the business, other talents are being accused of copying him, with WWE’s Grayson Waller the latest to face such claims. And now, in an interview with Wrestle Purists, MJF has addressed this by saying he feels bad for the SmackDown star, noting they are only compared because both make fans feel something through their mic work.

“I feel bad for Grayson Waller. Because I get f*cking tagged ‘Yo, Grayson Waller is just trying to be MJF.’ Like, f*cking hell he is. Do you see me wrestling in f*cking basketball shorts? Do I have a fucking accent? Am I 6’2”? No. Again, it’s not the fan’s fault. There’s a wrestler that makes you feel something that throughout the avenue of talking, right? Oh f*ck, who else makes you feel something that throughout the avenue of talking? MJF. Aw, you’ve been copying MJF. No, he’s not you f*cking idiot.”

While MJF is at the top of the business right now in AEW, Waller is still finding his feet, having only been called up to WWE’s main roster in May. However, thanks to his talk show segment, The Grayson Waller Effect, he has become a featured performer and has already appeared on screen with the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Edge. And now, with him having formed a tag team with fellow rising star Austin Theory, it appears the sky’s the limit for the 33-year-old Australian.
