Earlier this week, it was revealed that Mike Santana had officially left AEW, having been with the promotion since 2019. And now he has taken to social media platform X to acknowledge this, taking AEW for the opportunity and saying he is excited about what the future holds for him.
33-year-old Santana was previously considered a tag team specialist, although he opted to become a singles competitor after he and his longtime tag partner Ortiz fell out in real life for undisclosed personal reasons. However, he has only had two singles matches in AEW since returning from injury last August; instead, he has been wrestling on independent shows against names like Josh Alexander and Matt Cardona.
