Back in 2022, Metallica frontman James Hetfield split from his wife of 25 years, Francesca. “After 30 years of ups and downs but always with a lot of love, I am extremely saddened that my marriage has come to this,” Francesca said at the time. The pair have three kids together.
Since then, however, Hetfield happily has found love again with his new girlfriend, now fiancé, Adrianna, and the Metallica frontman proposed to her in a very unique way by holding up an “Adrianna Gillett, will you marry me?” sign while the pair was enjoying an underwater shark dive. Hetfield and Metallica shared a diving pic via social media with the caption, “She said yes!”
Gillet took to her own Instagram sharing the same photo with the message: “The BEST birthday trip surprise. Swimming with whale sharks on Friday the 13th with the most unique, special, and romantic proposal a Pisces could ever imagine. In a sea full of fish, we caught each other. Thank you God for putting us together”.
