Mercedes Moné won the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In despite breaking her nose early in the match against Willow Nightingale. Speaking at the post-show press conference, Moné said she needed stitches immediately afterward and had barely processed the victory. The result gave her a first reign with AEW’s top women’s title, adding another championship to the collection she has assembled across several promotions since joining the company as one of its most prominent performers.
“I haven’t even had time to process winning this. I was so focused on taking Willow’s smile and ending her career. I finally get to look at [the championship] because straight after the match I had to go to the doctor to get stitches for my nose that she broke, right at the f*cking beginning.” –Mercedes Mone
Moné joined AEW in 2024 and made her anticipated debut at the Big Business edition of Dynamite in her hometown of Boston. She quickly became a major presence in the women’s division, defeating Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing that May. Her growing collection of titles from several promotions subsequently became part of her on-screen identity, while she remained prominently featured on AEW programming and continued pursuing the company’s top women’s championship.
