Matt Riddle earned a lot of money in WWE thanks to a new contract that even saw him paid a huge bonus when he wrestled in Saudi Arabia. However, after being fired by the company, his financial position obviously took a hit. And now, after an indie promoter alleged on Facebook that the former MMA fighter tried to get more money out of him in order to fulfill a booking, it’s been reported that Riddle is currently behind on his financial commitment to his ex-wife.
David Bixenspan of Babyface v. Heel discovered this shocking revelation while searching court documents, which indicates Lisa Rennie, the mother of his three eldest children, has not been paid her child support or alimony since September. Therefore, she requests that Riddle sell any second vehicles and get a job. Whether this claim is valid is obviously up to the courts to decide, although it does further tarnish Riddle’s name in the eyes of some fans.
38-year-old Riddle married two-time all-American Gymnast Lisa Rennie in 2011 while he was part of the UFC, and together, they started a family. Yet, in the summer of 2020, independent wrestler Candy Cartwright made troubling allegations against the former WWE star dating back to 2018. Subsequntly, Riddle admitted to having an affair with Cartwright, although he states everything that occurred in their relationship was completely consensual. Still, this clearly caused a significant strain on Riddle’s marriage, and not long after, it would be confirmed that they were officially divorced.
