Matt Hardy Confirms It Isn’t A Forgone Conclusion Jeff Hardy Will Return To AEW

Jeff Hardy was arrested nine months ago for DUI, with the arresting officers saying they smelt alcohol on the AEW wrestler and described him as “in a stupor and confused.” A breathalyzer test followed, and Hardy was found to be 3.7 times the legal limit, with his blood-alcohol levels being recorded as 0.294 and 0.291. Nevertheless, the case would officially close with Hardy’s license being suspended for ten years and him being sentenced to time served.

Therefore the big question is when Hardy will return to the ring, and with him successfully completing rehab, his suspension by Tony Khan will likely be lifted sooner rather than later. Now though, Jeff’s brother Matt has revealed on his podcast it isn’t a foregone conclusion that Jeff will return to AEW, noting the topic has yet to be spoken about.

That hasn’t been talked about. Will it happen? Maybe. Maybe not. That isn’t something that hasn’t been talked about at all at this point and it certainly wasn’t going to be like, his court case is done, he shows back up on AEW Dynamite.

Jeff is among the most popular wrestlers of all time, so despite his latest legal drama, it’s doubtful that fans will have turned against him. However, many will understand if he is done with wrestling, at least for the time being, as his health and mental well-being obviously comes first, as does his sobriety.
