Matt Cardona Is Currently A Free Agent

Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, was part of WWE’s roster cuts on April 15th, which ended his 15 year run with the company. He didn’t let it get down and got himself in the best shape of his life, and once his non-compete ended, he would debut for AEW on the July 29th episode Dynamite. He saved Cody Rhodes from Dark Order members Alex Reynolds and John Silver, and then he following week team with Cody defeating the pair. His next match would take place at All Out when he teamed with Scorpio Sky, Dustin Rhodes, and QT Marshall, defeating Brodie Lee, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, and Colt Cabana.

It now turns out that his match at all Out was the last appearance on his All Elite Wrestling deal. As we previously reported, Cardona only signed a short-term contract with the promotion and confirmed this himself in an interview with Pro Wrestling Junkies. This means Cardona is currently a free agent and could potentially appear for other wrestling companies. However, he did say that he hopes fans will see him back in AEW very soon.
