Masked Wrestler Debuts New Name At Supercard Of Honor (w/Video)

Three months ago, speculation commenced regarding the future of Black Taurus, with it believed he was set to depart AAA as he had been working without a contract. And while he has still been competing under that name in Mexico, it was always assumed he would sign with Tony Khan full-time and, therefore, have to be repackaged due to AAA owing to the Taurus gimmick. And now, during Supercard of Honor, the luchador has returned to ROH under the name “The Beast Mortos” to defeat Blake Christian.

The 37-year-old masked wrestler initially broke into the business under the name Semental in 2016. From there, he worked for top Mexican promotions CMLL and AAA before receiving his big break in the United States via Impact Wrestling due to their working relationship with AAA in 2019. From there, he became a regular performer for the company, in addition to working for PWG and MLW, and built up a solid following Stateside due to his in-ring talent and distinctive look.
