Mark Briscoe suffered the devasting loss of his brother and tag partner, Jay, real name Jamin Pugh, in January 2023 due to a horrific car accident. Subsequently, he seriously contemplated retiring from the ring, but thankfully didn’t, and this decision was rewarded by him winning the ROH World Championship at Supercard of Honor.
And now, the popular pro wrestler has shared the happy news on social media that his wife has given birth to their eighth child, whom they are naming Matthew Jamin Pugh, which is clearly in honor of Jay.
Mark has previously stated that the Briscoes’ wrestling legacy might continue through his children because at least two of his offspring have shown a keen interest in following in their father’s footsteps. Therefore, it appears there could one day be another wrestling family dynasty in the business, and if they have inherited even a fraction of their father and uncle’s talent, they have a very good chance of making it.
