Major WWE Star Pulled From WWE’s King Of The Ring Tournament

WWE’s King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are currently underway, with the finals taking place at the Jeddah Super Dome on May 25th. However, one name that definitely won’t be competing in Saudi Arabia is Bobby Lashley, who has been pulled from the tournament due to suffering an injury while training. This was disclosed on social media by SmackDown’s GM Nick Aldis, who announced that Lashley’s stablemate, Angelo Dawkins, will now take his place against Tama Tonga on Friday night.

Had Lashley emerged victorious in his match, a clash with his former TNA alumni, LA Knight, in the quarter-finals seemed inevitable. However, the outcome was far from certain, given Tama Tonga’s formidable status as a new member of The Bloodline. Nevertheless, it now appears Lashley is set for a spell on the sidelines unless this happens to be part of a storyline, which is always possible with WWE potentially having changed their mind about having Lashley lose a high-profile match.
