Luchasaurus has revealed that he recently underwent his fourth surgery of 2026 as he continues working toward an eventual return to the ring. Speaking to Knicks Film School, the AEW star said he is currently recovering from procedures involving both shoulders, his left meniscus, and his right elbow. Luchasaurus explained that healing from rotator-cuff surgery requires a timetable that cannot simply be accelerated, but said he hopes to receive clearance around the end of October to begin exploring his comeback.

“I just had my fourth surgery of the year. I’ll be home nursing two shoulders, a left meniscus, and a right elbow. I am on the path to return. I had to get my rotator cuffs fixed, and they are tendons. With a tendon, there is a specific timetable that you can’t beat no matter what, and that’s six months. The second shoulder was done in February and then one in April. Around the end of October, as long as it all heals right, I’ll be cleared to start exploring what a comeback looks like.” – Luchasaurus

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion has endured an extended period of health problems that significantly interrupted his wrestling career. Before his latest orthopedic issues, Luchasaurus suffered a serious medical episode in 2024 that resulted in hospitalization and a lengthy absence from AEW programming. His subsequent recovery became a long process before additional physical problems required further treatment. Having once been a regular television presence alongside Jungle Boy and later Christian Cage, his current priority remains getting healthy enough to determine whether and when an in-ring return is realistic.
