WWE’s Logan Paul suffered a torn left triceps during his World Tag Team Championship defense alongside Austin Theory against The Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23. And now, while discussing the injury, he confirmed it occurred when Angelo Dawkins delivered a high-risk flipping senton over the top rope, landing awkwardly and forcing his arm into an awkward position as the tricep popped.
“When Dawkins jumped on me, my arm got kind of caught, like here, like pinched. I was too far back, so when I caught him, he didn’t like roll over me, and he kind of landed on me, and I folded onto myself …I didn’t expect Dawkins’ fat a** to send my tricep hurtling into the ground, thus forcing my arm to flex too hard, with too much weight, and pop my tricep. I felt it.” – Logan Paul
Following successful surgery, the Maverick has already shared graphic post-operative photos of the incision and scar. Typically, there is a standard six-month recovery timeline for a full return to the ring, but Paul remains optimistic, joking that PRIME will have him back in just a couple of weeks. In the meantime, Austin Theory continues defending the titles with The Vision faction, seemingly under “Freebird Rules.”
