The concert industry is currently flooded with several tours and artists all competing for the same money. Ticket prices in many cases have ballooned, and low ticket sales in some instances have resulted in the cancelation of entire tours.
Linkin Park’s return to the live stage was met with fanfare, but even the biggest acts aren’t immune to concert/ticket fatigue. The band’s Sept. 13 show was originally scheduled for the 56,000 capacity Dodger Stadium with Queens Of The Stone Age. It has been moved to the 18,000 capacity Intuit Dome due to low ticket sales, and JPEGMAFIA has replaced QOTSA as the opener.
The band also pulled two planned shows in Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre that were originally announced for Nov. 13 and Nov. 15. Linkin Park has also launched a deal where fans can get two randomly selected seats for $39.50 in an attempt to fill more seats.
