Limp Bizkit has just hit the road for their “Still Sucks” tour with $not, Wargasm and Scowl. The band released their “Still Sucks” album in October to positive reviews, and the band is in the midst of a resurgence of sorts. The opening night of the band’s tour in Tampa, Florida kicked off with four new songs, “Dad Vibes,” followed by “Out of Style,” “Dirty Rotten Bizkit” and “Pill Popper.” There were also performances of favorites like “Rollin’,” “My Generation,” “Nookie,” and “Break Stuff,” as well as a rendition of Ministry’s “Thieves” and Bizkit’s signature cover of George Michael’s “Faith.” Durst even invited a fan to perform vocals on the song “Full Nelson.”

The tour was supposed to include a Saturday night show at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. But the venue apparently canceled the show at the last minute. “We are so sorry,” said Limp Bizkit in a social media post. “Tonight’s show cancellation was not our decision. There was a safety concern and safety comes first. The promoters told us they were concerned there could be a safety issue that could result in possible chaos and injuries resulting in the cancellation of tonight’s show. Bummer.”

Guitarist Wes Borland told PRS recently that he thinks the band will likely resume writing new material as soon as they wrap up touring later this year. “Now that Still Sucks has kind of cleared our pipes, I feel that the comradery and creativity within the group is at an all-time high,” Borland said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if a new album is in the works shortly after our 2022 touring concludes. Anything is possible.” Borland also is pleased that the band is including older material alongside new songs in their setlist that they haven’t performed in many years. “I’m so thrilled to be able to finally add new material to our set. I mean, we already switch our set around every night and make changes and additions to it while we’re in the middle of shows, but to actually add new material (not covers, or deep cuts off of older albums that we haven’t played in a long time for example: we recently knocked the dust off of ‘Nobody Loves Me’ from our first album) has been a treat for me personally. The older songs are so hardwired into my brain that it’s nice to kind of wake up the mental muscles that are in charge of handling new data.”
