Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead apparently loved The Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood, California so much, that he actually based his move to the United States on living within walking distance to the legendary venue. When he wasn’t on tour, Lemmy was a constant fixture at the bar and was often seen playing the bar’s video poker machine.

Lemmy sadly passed away in 2015, but he is immortalized in a few ways at The Rainbow. The venue dedicated its patio to the frontman calling it “Lemmy’s Lounge.” They also erected a life-size, bronze statue of him.

Now, The Rainbow plans to enshrine Lemmy’s ashes at the club on April 19 to coincide with the release of the new Motorhead Whiskey.

“Please join us as we enshrine Lemmy’s Ashes at the Rainbow Bar & Grill,” the venue said via social media. “We also invite you to raise a very unique toast to Lemmy and Motörhead with the unveiling of brand new Motörhead Whiskey.”

In a 2015 interview with Kerrang! magazine, Lemmy was asked how it makes him feel when people call him a legend. “As long as they don’t believe it, that’s alright,” he said. “Who wouldn’t want a hero somewhere in their lives? And it might as well be me, ’cause I don’t take the piss out of them for it, and I don’t laugh at them because of it.” But he added, “I’m not a legend. I never thought of myself as being special in particular. Maybe I make brilliant music, but that’s about it.”
